Excerpts from Handel's Messiah will be presented at St. Mary's Church, 429 E. Allen St., in Hudson on Thursday, 12/12, at 5 p.m. and Friday, 12/13, at 7:30. High School students should arrive one hour prior to the performance and Lower School students should arrive 45 minutes prior to the performance.
We want to remind you that the school’s parking lot is a very busy area at drop off and dismissal times. Please remember to drive slowly and pull up to the drop off point before you stop and let your children out of your car. Please do not ever let your children out of the car in the parking area by the Learning Center nor in the Farm Store parking lot – there is no one managing street crossing in that area and it is not safe for the children.
At the end of school dismissal, please remember that your grade school child may not go to the Farm Store to wait for you, they must be accompanied by you. There will be a teacher at the crosswalk to assure that children are safe.
We also respectfully ask that you arrive on time in the morning; late arrivals are disruptive to classes and to your student’s learning. Also, please pick your child up by 3:10 (this is when the busses leave) if your child does not take the bus. If your child has an after school activity they must go directly to that activity. If, for example they have a music lesson but it does not occur immediately after school, you must make an arrangement directly with the music teacher for attending to the child or you must be with them while they wait.
It is also extremely important that class teachers and Ms. Schmolz are aware of what your child(ren)’s transportation plans are for the day. Please give the teacher a note explaining whether your child rides the bus, is picked up, or if it varies by the day, please make sure this is clear. We want to make sure your children are safely going home in the manner you have planned for them for that day. If your child(ren) have a play date on a particular day, please arrange this in advance and make sure the teacher knows about the plans through a written note from you.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness with regard to all these issues of the children’s safety.
