Four hundred acres and sixty milking cows are at the heart of Hawthorne Valley Farm, a diversified, biodynamic farm in the hamlet of Harlemville. For more than 35 years, we have been stewards of the pastures, rolling hills, and farmland, following the tenets of biodynamic farming, we strive to bring health to the Earth and all living things.

The farm is just part of our story; in addition, we have a certified biodynamic dairy processing plant, where we make yogurt and cheeses from our own cows milk; a certified organic bakery; a full-line organic and natural foods grocery store, featuring locally produced foods and produce, in which you can meet most of your shopping needs; a 15 acre market garden; a lacto-fermented vegetable processing unit; and a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Visitors are always welcome. For those in the New York City area, we have three CSA sites, and we are vendors at the Union Square and Inwood Greenmarkets year-round.
