Open House at Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School

Our Open House is a great way to experience Waldorf Education in action! Learn how our unique educational program and our dedicated faculty nurture each child’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual capacities. Tour the school, visit our classrooms, talk with faculty and students, and enjoy a puppet show in our Early Childhood Center. Children are encouraged to attend!

Scheduled activities:
10:30 AM - Watercolor Painting in the Rose Kindergarten, for children age 3 and older
11:00 AM - Puppet Show of "Shingebiss" in the Morning Star Kindergarten. This Native American tale of a brave little duck and the North Wind will enchant all ages. Performed by students in the Alkion Teacher Training Program.
11:30 AM - Woodland Walk with the Early Childhood Education teachers
1:00 PM - Puppet Show of "The Boy and the North Wind" in the Morning Star Kindergarten. A delightful tale of perserverance, for all ages.Performed by students in the Alkion Teacher Training Program.
1:30 PM - Farm Walk with Early Childhood Education teachers
