At Hawthorne Valley School our early childhood programs offer joyous learning experiences for families and children from birth to 6 years of age. Daily rhythms and activities that support the healthy growth of the young child are provided in a beautiful and protected environment.

Our campus offers abundant opportunity for nature exploration in forests, fields and on our wonderful farm. Our indoor curriculum integrates a rich immersion in the arts of music, painting, coloring, storytelling, puppetry, eurythmy and handcrafts.

Creative free play time encourages each child’s development of emotional intelligence through guided social education. Throughout the school year, these experiences prepare the child for cognitive learning through meaningful work that is interwoven with wonderful festival celebrations for all.

The Early Childhood program at Hawthorne Valley offers both Pre-K and Kindergarten.
